Publication Process

The publication process begins when an author submits their article to The Journal of Research in English Language Teaching and Linguistics (JRELL). The article is received by the Managing Editor, who forwards it to the Editorial Board for initial screening. The Editorial Board assesses the article's alignment with JRELL's scope and ensures it meets the journal's requirements, reporting back to the Managing Editor.

If the article meets the requirements, the Managing Editor sends it to reviewers for a double-blind peer review. The reviewers evaluate the article and provide a recommendation to accept, reject, or revise the article. The reviewers' feedback is then sent back to the Managing Editor.

The Managing Editor considers the reviewers' feedback and provides a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. Based on this recommendation and the reviewers' feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding the article's publication.

If the article does not meet the requirements during the initial screening, the Managing Editor forwards it directly to the Editor-in-Chief for a final decision.

Throughout this process, the Editorial Board's role is limited to the initial screening, while the Editor-in-Chief's role is focused on making the final decision. The Managing Editor plays a crucial role in coordinating the review process and ensuring that articles are properly evaluated.
